Privacy & opt-out
This page is about the openproxy.online website, not the OpenProxy app or network (those are covered by the EULA). We try to be straight with you about what the site measures.

What we collect
- Aggregate traffic — our web server logs (page, referrer, country, rough device) to understand what's popular. Standard server logs.
- A cookieless pageview beacon — counts views and time-on-page using an id that lives only for the browser tab session.
- Session replays (on by default) — we record how visitors move, scroll, and click so we can see where the site confuses people and fix it. Recording uses rrweb, runs on our own servers, and groups a person's visits with a random id stored in your browser.
- Waitlist email — only if you submit it. Stored on our own server, never shared or sold.
How we protect you
- All inputs are masked. Session replays never capture what you type — including your email. We see that you used a field, not its contents.
- First-party only. No Google Analytics, no third-party trackers, no ad networks. Data goes only to our own servers.
- Short retention. Replays are automatically deleted after ~30 days.
- Your choice. Opt out above (or via the banner), or enable Do-Not-Track — either stops replay recording on your device immediately.
Why we do this
OpenProxy is a tiny project and the site is brand new. Replays are the fastest way for us to see why visitors leave and make the site clearer — without guessing. We hold it to the same consent-respecting bar as the product: masked, first-party, and easy to turn off.
